Perspectives Returns to SACPC this Fall!
Last Fall you may have noticed 40 people attending a class Thursday night titled Perspectives of the World Christian Movement or simply Perspectives. Perhaps you were wondering “What is this class? What is Perspectives?” What sticks out most from taking this course, is the realization that God really does have a plan to bring about His Kingdom here on earth and it is happening right now. And the question put to you is, “Do you want to be part of it?”
Honestly, many of us just go about our lives hoping not to get hurt or suffer too much before we die. Think of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Junior, played by Harrison Ford, did not share and didn’t believe in his father’s superstitions nor wanted to share in his adventures. He was always getting upset with his Dad every time they crossed paths because it led to difficulties. Just leave me alone and let me live in peace. I think that would describe a lot of us who sit in church – “OK, I’ll love my neighbor and worship You on Sundays but please, just let me live in peace.” This course makes the point – don’t settle for peace! Our Lord is at work in this world. He is calling you to step out of the safety of your lifeboat and join Him on the water. Will you? Perspectives will change your life in ways you never thought of. This Fall there will be two classes, Tuesday nights (6:30 – 9:00pm) and Wednesday mornings (9:00 – 11:30am) starting August 21 and 22.
