China mission trip

When was the last time you shared the gospel with a non-believer? Jesus’ last words to his followers were: “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
Why not consider joining a team to proclaim Christ to the ends of the earth?
December 27, 2016 – January 6, 2017, a mission team will travel to China, to a city where there is no indigenous church, to do just that.

But you say “I don’t know how.”
Not a problem, our own missionary will be there to train you.
But you say “I don’t speak their language.”
Not a problem, the people we seek to witness to all speak English.
But you say “What if I make a fool of myself.”
Not a problem, it is highly unlikely that you will ever see these people again – this side of Heaven.
But you say “I don’t like Chinese food.”
Well, then perhaps this trip is not for you.

There will be 9 hours of training (six 1.5 hour meetings) prior to departure. Because this trip involves participants sharing their faith with non-believers, participants must have a burden for proclaiming the Gospel to the lost. Having taken Perspectives prior to departure is not required but
is highly encouraged. If you haven’t, there is a Fall 2016 Perspectives class starting August 25, 2016. Participants are responsible for their cost in getting to and from Chengdu (plane ticket, passport, visa, etc. – estimated to be around $2000.) SACPC will cover trip expenses for church members in country (appx. $500.)
