Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
At. St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church we endeavor to equip people, and provide people opportunities, to go and serve. This may mean connecting our people to opportunities to serve in the church, or perhaps somewhere in our community, or even in other parts of the world. In all cases, we’re a church that seeks to serve. Read on to find out how you may be able to serve God through serving others.
Serve in the Church
Life at SACPC is more than a Sunday morning service. We offer a variety of worship services, ministries, and programs for all ages – and all of them need many helping hands to carry out.
At SACPC our staff does not exist to do the work of the church for you, but to help you do the work of the church for others. The more we participate in the life of the church, serving together, the stronger our our church will be in service to God. Interested in serving somewhere? Let us know!
Serve in the Community
Like many cities, our citizens suffer from homelessness, drug addictions, loneliness, despair and perhaps more importantly, unfamiliarity with Jesus Christ. We hope to change that.
Support for our Wilmington community takes many forms. First, we welcome all people in Wilmington to join in in worship and bible study at the church. In addition, we encourage our members to respond individually with Christian love to the needs they see in the community. And finally, we offer opportunities to work with the church and our mission and ministry partners to solve critical problems such as homelessness, hunger, addiction, loneliness, and fear. Find your way to one of our community serving opportunities.
Serve in the World
We’re Christians, called to make disciples of all nations. We do that through loving service to people in other cities, states, and countries far from home. We want the world to know we’re Christians by our love.
For us, the “world” is that area beyond the boundaries of our local Wilmington community. We regularly serve others in the world by praying, by sending mission teams to other cities, states and parts of the world, and by offering direct financial support. We’re also in partnership with churches in Malawi, Africa and in Brazil.
