At. St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church, we seek to know, love and worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24
Worship is an act of showing devotion and love to God. At St. Andrews-Covenant we have opportunities to express that love and devotion to God in many ways with regular weekly worship services and special times of the year that help us to go deeper into our worship as we recognize the birth of our savior at Christmas, the beginning of our savior’s last days on earth with Ash Wednesday, and the holiest of times – the passion week ending with the glorious celebration of the resurrection. Without worship, we cannot fully connect with God, and we cannot live life to the fullest.
Sharing our faith is another way to connect to God. Reaching out – telling our friends and neighbors about the joy God brings and the peace and love in God’s world is a responsibility given to us by God through Jesus Christ who said “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
Say to God – here I am to worship – and I have brought my friends!
