At. St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church, we strive to follow Jesus Christ, trusting in His grace, power and love.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. — Ephesians 2:8-10
Life is a journey. On the journey – as with a special trip – we have expectations and anticipations. For most of us, we are always looking – always searching. But we are searching for what?
Perhaps you feel like you are trying to fill a hole in your heart? A hole in your soul? Do you know what you need to fill it? Some search for riches – some search for power – some search for glory. But those that search for the Lord actually find the secret to fill that hole. It is exciting to find that the hole in your heart or soul is actually a God-shaped hole and that nothing else can fill it.
So Paul tells us in his letter to the Ephesians…
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the authorities, agains the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:10-20 ESV
And the Psalmist says…
“I have stored up your word in my hear that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11
So how do you put on God’s armor? How do you know what God expects of you? How do you know that God loves you?
St. Andrews-Covenant abounds with opportunities for enriching your faith – putting on God’s armor and storing up his word in our hearts. We have Christian Education for all ages; Bible studies for men, women, and youth; weekly POPS classes; and special programs with guest speakers
