SACPC Weekly Updates for Sept. 12 - 19, 2023
Weekly Updates for Sept. 12 - 19, 2023
15th Sunday after Pentecost
This Sunday
"Community Matters: Forgiveness"
Rev. Katherine B. Harrington
How do we practice forgiveness as a community? In Matthew 18:21-35, when Peter asks Jesus "How many times should I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Should I forgive as many as seven times?” Jesus responds, “Not just seven times, but rather as many as seventy-seven times." When we gather in community, forgiveness is so important to our way forward as God's people together, but it is so challenging. What does forgiveness look like and feel like for us today? See you Sunday!

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
